First Contest!
Hello everyone, this is Pepper. Marzi is a bit too excitable for this sort of thing. We're going to have a contest now. For an icon. Yes indeed for that icon over there is too simple and plain for papa's tastes. He wants something exciting and colourful and...well...more him-ish. Are you all up to it?

Submit the link to the icon in a note to us, and we will announce the winner once we get them all. Only two icons per person please. Thank you.

Club Rules and Policies Etc.

The first and only rule of conduct here is respect. Respect the artists, respect their art, respect their prose and poetry, respect THEM as people, respect me, the admin/mod of the club. Respect implies not stealing imagery, not flaming, not posting specifically to harass etc. These are some of the Merriam-Webster definitions of the word for nitpicking's sake:

Verb Forms
1. To feel or show deferential regard for; esteem.
2. To avoid violation of or interference with: respect the speed limit.
3. To relate or refer to; concern.

Noun Forms
1. A feeling of appreciative, often deferential regard; esteem. See Synonyms at regard.
2. The state of being regarded with honor or esteem.
3. Willingness to show consideration or appreciation.
4. 'respects'; Polite expressions of consideration or deference: pay one's respects.
5. A particular aspect, feature, or detail: In many respects this is an important decision.

A Side Note: Having known many people like this, I must remind all that respecting oneself (i.e. NOT PUTTING YOURSELF DOWN) is also important. This is not a place for 'pity me/hate me' statements or attitudes. We are striving for a happy and fun place to be, and no matter what YOU think of yourself I think you are all great people. All of you, because all of the people that have noted us for membership have been polite, courteous and respectful human beings. I admire that very highly and I wish to personally thank you all for being good people. Never forget that you are good people.

So that is witout doubt what it means here. It's really the only rule we need. Now, moving on...

All ratings of art are allowed here. All ratings, all types of content. I believe very strongly in freedom of expression and opinion, and I know that the Wonka fandom is full of fans who like very controversial things in regard to their fanart and pastiche (Yes there is a dictionary word for fanfic, isn't that neat?), and I respect that, therefore this club is open to that too. If you personally have a problem with these things, remember that no one is making you look at them. You have a back button on your browser for that very reason. I wanted to make this issue clear and deal with it before it came up.

If you ever break the rule you will be given one warning (after all, everyone has bad days). After that your membership will be revoked for a minimum of six months. Sounds harsh, but it's only one rule and it isn't hard to follow.
